 I sit,

Wind blowing in my face

Watching each ripple

Pass with each wave.

Every other huge one crashing,

Remind me of scenes from our past days.

Playing over & over in my head,

The scene just won’t go away!

Amber skies reflecting an ocean full of lies

Reminding me of passion we once shared

Not wanting to hide it.

As small raindrops begin to fall

My eyes flood

With a sea of tears

Thinking about our years!

Eyelids swollen, purple & blue

It’s been 3 yrs.

I still miss you.

Scenes of the I day I regret, as I walked out

Ruining what we had inside our house

Trees blown in the wind,

Bring flashing memories

Of our dreams slowly passing by

At its end!

Sailboats before me,

I can’t help but wonder

How would things be?

 If we had only tried!

I'm Okay With Me

You said she was coming back to get her things.

It's 6 months later and her Shi- is still here

Every time I look around I see her stuff,

trying to have me looking like a Damn Cream Puff!

I try to talk to you & tell you its not right,

But you scream and holler trying to start a fight.

You behave like she'll forever be in our life!

Like a shadow of darkness, blocking love from our hearts.

She has til' the end of the week!

If not,

You'll become the absentee.

My 24 hrs. in 24 lines

1. 12 am I'm tossing,turning can't get to sleep.
2. 1am rolls around I've got Him on my mind
3. 2am I'm sipping on herbal tea
4. 3am I get down on my knees in prayer
5. 4am I feel so close to Him my eyes fill w/tears
6. 5am tears all dried up I shower rinsing fear
7. 6am I had to nourish my body so I could go on
8. 7am I had the strength to face the world
9. 8am I can give my contribution to the world
10. 9am thoughts of Him began creeping to me again
11. 10am I took a mental break from it all
12. 11am I skipped lunch just kept my mind on Him
13. 12pm I felt like I could go on a bit more
14. 1pm came I felt myself daydreaming about Him
15. 2pm I'm thinking He's oh so good to me
16. 3pm He never mistreat me or call me names
17. 4pm I regret I left Him, He'd never leave me
18. 5pm starting to get famish, oh I skipped lunch
19. 6pm I gotta wash away the day
20. 7pm occupying my mind so I won't feel sad
21. 8pm I heard rumbling downstairs;oo hoo It is He
22. 9pm I felt safe & secure I feel happy inside
23. 10pm He took me by the hand & said come with me
24. 11pm I'm blessed the Lord has let me back

What's Happened To Our Children

What's happened to our children?

I walked down the street today,

One of em' stared me down

like I had no right coming thru town!

Murder on the streets

Children just stand & stare

Some continue on playing

just feet from crime scene tape

Their minds have become numb!

They don't care to escape.

What's happened to our children?

Recreation centers are closed up

Leaving these kids to roam the streets

Nothing constructive for them to do,

Some have to go out and steal shoes

No food in the house

Nothing to eat

But mommy looks good

when she hits the streets!

Pledge of allegiance

taken out of schools,

Discipline snatched out of homes

Now children have no respect

for anyone not even themselves!

What's Happened to our Children?

Baby girl have no idea bout' the wooden nickels!

Runnin' around with anyone who tickles it

Now she has a baby and don't care to finish school

She has no man in her life

showing her what a man's real role

in this world is like!

So she run to the 1st man

who says,“you're pretty”.

Our children are crying out for,

mother's & father who'll teach
